Wolfgang Bauer
Wolfgang Bauer, born in 1970 in Hamburg, is a German journalist and war correspondent for Die Zeit. Renowned for his immersive reporting, he has covered conflicts in Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and Nigeria. Bauer’s undercover journey with Syrian refugees led to his acclaimed book Crossing the Sea. His work has earned him numerous awards, including the Prix Bayeux-Calvados for War Correspondents and the Nannen Prize. He resides in Reutlingen, Germany.
