Peter Dausend
Peter Dausend studied American studies, political science and English philology in Saarbrücken. After an internship at the Axel Springer School of Journalism, he started in 1994 in the ERGO development department of Heinrich Bauer Publishing. In the fall of 1995 he began working as an editor at the “Welt”, initially in the foreign affairs department, went to the “Anchorage Daily News” in Alaska as an Arthur F. Burns scholarship holder in 1998 and wrote as a reporter for “Page 3” of the “Welt” from 1999 onwards. In 2001 Peter Dausend moved to the “Welt” parliamentary office in Berlin. Since 2008 he has been a political correspondent and columnist for the weekly magazine “Die Zeit” in Berlin.
