Helmut W. Ganser
Helmut W. Ganser, retired Brigadier General, served as Deputy Head of the Military Policy Staff Department at the Ministry of Defense in Berlin, a lecturer in strategy at the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College, and a military policy advisor to the German Permanent Representatives to NATO and the United Nations. Ganser holds degrees in psychology and political science. In the late 1980s, he was responsible for developing defense planning for a German corps in the event of war.
