Johannes Gernert
Johannes Gernert, born in 1980, trained as an editor at the German School of Journalism in Munich and subsequently wrote for “stern,” “Neon,” “Berliner Zeitung,” and “Spiegel Online.” He was an editor at “taz.am wochenende” for five years before joining ZEIT in 2015. He won the Axel Springer Prize in 2010 for his reportage “Kampfzone Kasse” (Combat Zone Checkout). That same year, his book “Generation Porno” was published by Fackelträger Verlag. In 2013, he was awarded the Arthur F. Burns Award. His first novel was published by Rowohlt in 2016.
