Giovana Girardi
Giovana Girardi is a Brazilian journalist who has been covering science and the environment since 2002. She was a reporter for Estadão, co-founding editor of Unesp Ciência magazine, a reporter for Folha de S. Paulo, assistant editor of Scientific American magazine and editor of Galileu magazine. In 2022, she launched the narrative podcast Tempo Quente (Rádio Novelo), which investigates the political and economic forces that gain from Brazil’s inaction on deforestation and climate change. For Agência Pública, she runs the socio-environmental coverage.
