Elena Erdmann
She grew up in Gelsenkirchen, studied mathematics and computer science in Dortmund, and then spent time researching at the Chair of Artificial Intelligence. She joined ZEIT as a data journalist in 2017. Today, she writes about science, especially climate change. She still enjoys using data to make the topic more tangible—and regularly struggles to avoid falling into a doomsday mood while writing.
