PARIS – Damascus has declared as “personae non gratae” top diplomats of the US, UK, France and several other Western nations, French-language newspaper Libération reports. The move comes a week after governments around the world expelled their Syrian diplomats in the wake of the Houla massacre in late May.
The ambassadors of Canada, Italy and Spain were also designated as “unwelcome”, as well as various embassy staff members from Belgium, Bulgaria and Germany.
