As Hillary Clinton took to the stage for a speech Thursday night in Las Vegas, a woman threw a shoe at the former Secretary of State. It whizzed just past Clinton, who quippied afterward: “Thank goodness she didn’t play softball like I did.”
A spokesperson for the recycling institute, to whom Clinton was speaking, said that the woman was not affiliated with the organization and is now in federal custody.
Not the first time a shoe, or anything else for that matter, has been thrown at a politician. Here’s some of the most memorable from the past few years.
