Arguably the best-known French singer of his generation and a national icon in Armenia, Charles Aznavour died Monday at age 94 at his home in Mouriès, in southern of France. Born Shahnour Vaghinag Aznavourian in Paris, to Armenian immigrants, his unmistakable tenor range and love songs quickly made him French popular music royalty.
