Teseo La Marca was born in 1993 in the bilingual (Italian and German) region of South Tyrol in Italy.
He studied German literature, history and economics and worked as high school teacher, before becoming a full time freelance reporter in 2021. He reported primarily from Iran, where he lived for several months and traveled extensively, and from Italy, his home country, for German-speaking media such as NZZ, die tageszeitung (taz), Die Welt and Die Presse.
