She has been writing for La Stampa since 1994, covering current affairs and lifestyle, chronicling major news stories, personalities, and trends. Reported to many parts of the world, she has covered tragic events and social events, from the tsunami to royal weddings, the vices, scandals, and virtues of politicians, the various episodes of Vallettopoli, the tragedy of the Gravina brothers, and the Avetrana crime. She has been entrusted with several regular, colorful columns both in the newspaper’s culture pages and in the Specchio magazine. In 2001, her book Cenerentole was published by Rizzoli. In 2004, she wrote the short story Mitrokhin for Baldini Castoldi Dalai. In 2007, her investigative essay Ultimo Tabù, True Stories of Secret Loves in the Church, a journey into the sexuality and hidden affections of priests, was published by Cairo. Also in 2007, Oscar Mondadori published “Il racconto” (The Tale), part of the women’s short story collection “Cuori di pietra.” In May 2008, she published another story, also for Oscar Mondadori, in the collection “Facce di bronzo.” She teaches lifestyle journalism at the Luiss-Guido Carli School of Journalism in Rome. In 2008, she won the Santa Margherita Ligure International Journalism Award for Culture in the “Special Envoy” category. In 2009, she was awarded the “Simpatia” (Sympathy) Prize for Literature and Journalism at the Campidoglio. In 2010, she won the Igor Man Prize, awarded to the editor of La Stampa for her reporting on the places and memories of Italian soldiers who died in Afghanistan.
