The Prix Bayeux is one of the world’s top journalism awards for reporting on war and conflict, held each year since 1994 in the northern French town of Bayeux. The 2011 edition is slated for October 3-9. Last year’s winner for photography was Véronique de Viguerie, who spent weeks in Nigeria chronicling the insurgent MEND forces in Niger delta, for a reportage that appeared in Paris Match magazine.
