Giovanni di Lorenzo was born in Stockholm in 1959. He took his first steps into the media world at the local newspaper “Neue Presse” in Hanover. Since then he has worked as a reporter and head of the “Die Seite Drei” department at the newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. In 1999 he began working as editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Der Tagesspiegel”. In 2004 he started as editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine “DIE ZEIT” and in 2019 he was appointed president of the editors-in-chief of the entire publishing “DIE ZEIT” publishing house.
