Queen Turns 90, Poses With Her Favorite Subjects

The Yorkshire Post wished Queen Elizabeth II a "happy birthday ma'am" on the front page of its Thursday edition, as the monarch turns 90.

The Leeds-based daily chose one of three pictures taken for the occasion by acclaimed American photographer Annie Leibovitz. The queen is standing on the steps of Windsor Castle with four of her dogs (clockwise from top left Willow, Vulcan, Candy and Holly).

And though this time she was pictured at home, let's not forget that the birthday Queen recently not only became the longest-serving monarch, but also the most widely traveled head of state in history. Worldcrunch picked a few of Elizabeth's memorable foreign visits in this video:
