LE NOUVEL OBSERVATEUR, FRANCE 2 (France)
The French government announced Monday it would show "no tolerance" for the kind of violent acts carried out by far-right protesters against members of the Ukranian feminist movement Femen.
During the protest on Sunday in Paris, organized by Catholic group Civitas, against President François Hollande's plans to legalize gay marriage, some far-right members physically attacked the women staging a provocative topless counter-protest.
The Femen members confronted the protest, dressed as nuns and with painted slogans across their bare chests, including "In Gay We Trust" and "F-ck God." Some sprayed what appeared to be a powder toward the Catholic marchers.

Le Nouvel Observateur reports that the French government spokesperson Najat Vallaud-Belkacem was "profoundly shocked" by the acts of violence.
"There is no place for extreme-right violence in this country," she said.
